Okay, so... I guess I should update this since it's been almost a year since the last time I did.
So, a while back I decided I would try to clear my anime backlog by watching it alphabetically. That was almost a year ago. I'm up to F. Not that I have that much anime at the start of the alphabet or anything, I'm just easily distracted. So, I'm currently watching Full Metal Panic, a series that I started watching a long time ago, got distracted, and put away for a while.
So far, Full Metal Panic makes me nostalgic for Gundam Wing. It may be because Sousuke and Heero are pretty much the same character, and both series revolve around teen pilots of giant mecha trying to protect a girl.
Before Full Metal Panic, I rewatched the first season of Fairy Tail. Is it just me, or did Shounen anime get really emotional all of a sudden? I don't think any anime series has made me cry as much as Fairy Tail has. Not that I'm complaining or anything, since it's good to be emotionally invested in the characters and what-not, but at the same time I hate to cry while watching t.v.
Today, I watched Night on the Galactic Railroad. For a children's movie, it's really dark, abstract, and kind of sad. The book is the same, though. I wish that he'd had a chance to finish editing it, because I feel like he wanted to explain more about Giovanni's ticket and why it was so special. Anyway, it's a movie that I'm going to have to think about some more.
