Rewrite VN (Part 5 of ?)

I'm on a roll! -Followed Kotori today to hopefully find something supernatural. I found a cat that stares at nothing and glares. No one likes my crappy article on the cat really seeing ghosts… -Uh yeah, I just finished watching Kotarou’s video of appreciation for Yoshino. I can only offer this one image but that whole video was just full of weird. ……………….orz -As expected, Yoshino did not like the video. -As not expected, Akane turned his yell of protest into hip-hop. I made the loudest burst of laughter ever. -Oh my god, this entire day is so full of win. Or Yoshino-lose. Either or. -Hm, I expected these “choices” to pop when Akane told me to use the La+ (Laplace’s demon) program. An omnipotent program that can predict the future made by old Occult Research Club members? Probably not. -It’s nice of Akane to actually find me anything to do that’s club-related. It’s probably just to mess with me, though. -Using internet searches to credibly fill in information on this La+ program is not going to be a good idea. -Self-fulfilling prophecy? Catch up instantly and I’m the one who “kidnaps” Yoshino as the program said. Catch up to him slowly and he’ll go a dangerous route and end up hurting himself, getting carried away by the ambulance. Ah, same thing in the end. -Once again, I avoid using my power. So now we’re stuck in an abandoned sewer. -Oh please don’t tell me La+ is suggesting we both climb up on the ladder naked. >_< -Thank you for that, Kotarou. I don’t really want to see that either. But Kotarou could see Yoshino’s fighting stance in the dark (probably left over from his power) so…he probably can see Yoshino naked. >_< Poor guy. -Oh my god, there were a bunch of girls who saw Yoshino and me. Noooooooo!!! -Uh, why would the darts club need to do pushups? -So Yoshino and I have no resorted to covering our faces to protect our identity while scarring mobs of high school girls with our naked bodies… -…so even if I had decided to use my power, this still would’ve happened. Why didn’t Akane tell me that sooner?! -Sakuya can walk around pantless and he just gets fangirls instead? -Akane plays Wii Sports in her spare time. I’m not really surprised anymore but I still would love to see an image of her playing. -Considering Yoshino’s last experience with our Occult Research Club, I really doubt he wants to join. -Modern as opposed to…what? -Yup, plan failed because Kotarou couldn’t get past Yoshino Powerhiko. -Going to Yoshino’s house cuz the teacher told me to. I’m too scared so I can bring a person with me. I’m automatically with Kotori so that’s awesome for me. Does this mean I’m on her route yet? Or would this have been the default option anyway? -Ill? When was this? -Okay, so I spent some time in the hospital and my memories of back then are very fuzzy. Odd. But hey, all VN characters must have some kind of amnesia! -Also, it’s something that I hide from people so maybe only Kotori and I (and my parents, probably) know about it. -This is becoming a pretty serious moment. Quite the foreshadowing here. Maybe it’s similar to how Okabe Rintarou (Steins;Gate) got his Reading Steiner ability when he got sick once as a kid. -Some illness with a long name. He doesn’t even remember the symptoms? And how long was he in the hospital? -「So focus on living now, getting all the things you wanting and looking toward the future. You have the right to do that.」’Kotori’s words sounded hollow.’ Wow, what’s with that? -I love the discrepancy between Yoshino’s default rock-ish theme playing in the background and Yoshino saying this in a very un-Yoshino like way. -Even adorable innocent (ish) Kotori is laughing at the sight of Yoshino like that! -Aw, no one to try investigating the existence of dinosaurs in the 20th century. But…Kotori has a baby wooly mammoth! Too bad I’m keeping that a secret. -So we found a haniwa in the ruins on Esaka’s property (kind of doubting it with the No Trespassing sign but…) and looked up what a haniwa is. It’s that boing thing from Animal Crossing! -Oho~! A grave? -This is seriously educational. I looked up Kofun graves since these ruins we found are apparently older than them, according to Lucia. They’re these huge tomb with mounds shaped very much like keyholes! There’s aerial maps you can google. Very cool. Back to VN stuff now… -In the tomb, we discovered carvings of a dinosaur and stick figure people below. I guess this quest is an extreme success?! -Hm, well it makes sense that there’d be a dead body in a grave. Still, how did no one else discover this? -I discover that dinosaurs existed past the ice age and found an ancient dead person. None of this makes Akane show any kind of surprise or shock. -So my light ran out of batteries. I make a joke about an ancient cursing giving everyone fevers and then someone jabs my forehead as if telling me to stop joking…but no one’s close enough to do that.. O___O -Oh okay, it’s not a ghost. It’s just A BOOOOOONE! -I thought big fancy graves like this are supposed to be for one person only… -Shizuru possibly brought a t-rex skull out of the tomb because it’s cool. Uh, isn’t that too big? Unless it’s a baby like Chibimoth. -A rich guy’s fancy tomb + movie scenery company + being abandoned for a bit + random garbage like fake dinosaur bones = what I “discovered” -Damn it, Akane!!! You could’ve told me sooner! -Inoue, the reporter girl, said it seems too logical and perfect and something’s bugging her about it. Maybe some truth to those “ruins” after all? -Ah yeah, the Haniwa may not be related to that mess. But it was too close to the surface… -So I guess I’m exploring the forest today. I’m super prepared with food, water, Mappie and a map and compass just in case. I doubt any navigation tools will work in the alternate dimension though. Then again, it’s only happened in urban places and never in a forest as of yet. -Also, it’s Halloween. Weird stuff is practically guaranteed to happen today. -Uh, Kotarou shouldn’t be drinking pure stream water like that without any filtration or purifier stuff. -Turuu=true me. So does Yoshino kind of know about how, if I was serious, I could do impossible athletic feats? -Wow, I think that was the most serious mood I’ve ever had with Yoshino. Even more than the endless hallway. I had to honestly tell him that I don’t want to lose my daily life and he didn’t say anything in response. -This whole forest scene is making me really feel what Kotarou feels though. Being in a large forest alone that feeling that we don’t belong and we’re in danger is kind of familiar, I guess. -Ew, I found a worm that’s almost 20 inches long! Ewwwww! -Whoops, while trying to screencap, I accidentally skipped a bunch of dialogue. The words I stopped at were, “The bleeding won’t stop” and something about how it should coagulate by now but isn’t. Ominous, huh? Happy funny music is gone too. Anyways, time to load the save again and go back. Well, I was going to originally say not to jinx it cuz that’d be creepy as hell but…thanks to my slip-up, looks like it’s too late. -Oh god, it wasn’t a worm. But then leeches aren’t usually shaped like a worm either… I’m bleeding. I brought gauze with me but have to keep replacing it… -I feel like I’m playing Etrian Odyssey and accidentally triggered something really really bad… -Kotarou should know that if the sudden smell of iron is in there air…it’s most likely blood and NOT a chunk of iron. -Okay, so I discovered what is kind of a snake/annelid worm that’s ten meters long and decomposing so fast that it’s giving off heat that is hot to the touch. I’m really, really glad it’s dead. -Huh, the Terra magazine didn’t accept my article. Not because the guy I work for didn’t like it but the higher ups didn’t for some unknown reason. -Akane is absolutely uncaring that her panties were shown to me. -That’s a lot of odd rumors for a town. I bet this relates to that giant thing I found and probably a decent chunk of the supernatural bit that belongs in every Key game. -Okay, so the big snake thing was just a bag of quick lime. But that little thing that bit a chunk of my wrist definitely was a new species. Maybe not supernatural but something that could make him famous! -Noooooooooo! Akane’s secretary stole my money for club funds! Give it baaaack! -Oho! Wrong thing to say, Akane! I don’t care if my rune gear counts down! I want my paycheck! -Ah shit. No opportunity to use my power. She yelled rape when I caught up. Urg, not fair… -Mysterious deaths? That’s kind of a serious mystery compared to super seniors and dinosaurs. -Akane took nothing from my money. She just wanted to mess with me. Really makes me wonder what she’s like in her own route. -Good, they’re not going to investigate the deaths. Too creepy. -Kind of a creepy thing for high school girls to be discussing.
