I've been watching anime for a good portion of my life. From early childhood up to very recently. It wasn't until the mid-90s when this hobby called anime took a permanent place as far as things I genuinely care for. So many stories. so many worlds. so many people who've come in and out of my anime viewing life. Some spoke to me more than others; then, there are the ones that have a permanent place in my mind and heart.
Watching anime has been one of few ways to energize my bland, boring, empty life. I've succeeded for the most part because of some memorable titles; but, was completely taken aback when I came across The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. It's too soon to tell if this is my favorite anime of all time even though it's been my favorite anime for two and a half years.
Miss Haruhi Suzumiya. A secret dream come to life. She had me from the moment she introduced herself to the class on the first day of school. :)
If she was real I would tell her this: Miss Suzumiya ( may I call you Haruhi?) I know exactly where you're coming from and what you want out of this life. You should pursue a full life with all your heart and strength. Do not settle for less. Even if people advise you to do so, don't. You should take this world and wring every drop of fun it has to offer while you're still young and alive.
