PersonalityIt takes but a moment for the future to become the past, ambition to become meaningless. Yet it matters not for we must embrace it. For the good of the land we must face forwards. To stop is to admit defeatVisionary
Before anything else, Nobunaga is a Visionary. Everything that he has ever done, from the most evil acts to the most good were done to further his dream of a strong, peaceful and united Japan. Nobunaga is certainly a believer in 'The ends justify the means'. He believed that he had been chosen to lead Japan out of the darkness of the Sengoku Era, and into an Age of Prosperity.
Callous, Cold and Indifferent
As it can be seen in most of his actions throughout history, Nobunaga is a callous individual who cares not for the people under his reign other than how they can be useful to him. To the majority of people he is a cold and indifferent man that is willing to sacrifice thousands to futher his own goals. If he had to destroy 99% of the population of Japan to finally conquer it, then he would do so.
Vulgar
As a child Nobunaga was well known for his bizarre behaviour, and recieved the Fool of Owari because of how outrageously he acted. He was also known to run around with other youths from the area, without any regard to his own social rank. Nobunaga never cared for his own station or the stations of others, and would regularly insult others, mock their traditions and spit on most if not all of Japan's customs.
Kind and caring to his own
While Nobunaga considers most of the regular people under his reign as nothing more than resources to further his own goals, He does care for those that have either proven their worth to him or he has grown close to. He considered many of his generals and retainers to be his close friends and often engaed in poetry with them. To people whom he cares for, Nobunaga will do anything in his power to protect them.
No tolerance for failure
Above all Nobunaga respects strength, skill and competence, and while he may care for his retainers, he does not tolerate weakness or failure. He has been known to banish generals who failed him and strip them of their lands. He also does not tolerate traitors and even made war of other Daimyo to recover a traitor that had hidden in thier lands.
Impatient
One of Nobunaga's greatest banes is his impatient nature. Nobunaga hates waiting and will often try to occupy himself when he has to wait for something to happen. In battle, he might very well jump the gun on a few occasions, which could cost him and his Master their lives.
