Class Name Assassin AppearanceFull Name Okita Souji Fujiwara no Kaneyoshi Aliases Okita Soujirou Fujiwara no Harusama, Kensei, Fukuchou Jokin Okita Souji Gender Male Alignment Neutral Good PersonalityI didn't die on the battlefield...And that remains my biggest regret as the warrior known as Okita SoujiA Samurai's Honor is the truth of Bushido To Okita Souji, who was raised in the culture and lifestyle of the Samurai, nothing is worth more to him than his Honor. If anything, he's a bit insane in maintaining his Honor as a warrior of the Samurai profession during the Bakamatsu Period. His honor is so important to him that he will do anything to uphold it. If he promised an honorable death, then by hell Okita will give you one. If he promised you a duel to a death, then he will do anything to give you that duel. To Okita Souji, the Honor of a Samurai is the truth of Bushido, and for one who was raised to become a Samurai, this answer is just about the most important thing to Okita. Even the Young can be old Okita Souji died young, at the ripe age of Twenty-Five due to tuberculosis. He suffered a somewhat painful experience of realizing his life was coming to an end, and it aged him mentally. He speaks at an age much older than his current age of Nineteen, and is usually reminiscing bout his past life and experiences. If anything, the experience of his death gave Okita the habit of looking back, unable to move forword, since he could only think about his memories as his terminal illness took him. Life and Death are the same Another trait that Okita Souji took up as his terminal illness took its toll was his ability to enjoy lasting moments. He is not a hedonist in any way, rather he enjoys those fleeting moments, such as drinking Sake while speaking of the past. All the short-lived pleasures of the world can be better enjoyed with thoughts of the long-lived past, and that continues to be Okita Souji's way of life. Not as a Samurai, but as a human being who has lived too short a life. A Calm yet lively despostion Despite Okita's somewhat obsessive behaviour regarding his honor, he never breaks his calm. Ever. Okita retains a somewhat amused expression in times of peace, and a warrior's expression in times of combat. However, he has never been known to stray into the realms of Anger; his belief in the importance of a calm mind in any situation would never allow such a thing. In fact, his emotions never seem to reflect anything outside of amusement and battle. Okita is also lively in his verbal quips, often showing sarcasm in plenty of his sentences.
