Mmmm kay. After watching it through again to episode 7, and knowing what I know from the forums, I finally get it. Thank God. Are animes that make you confused and make you think supposed to be good? Dx I must be getting lazy.
Well it did end basically with a moral which I found quite expected. But of course the most beautiful things are the true things.
For some reason this particular moral made me think of relationships. But I suppose there's a lot of other things that cause pain as well, such as sickness and death. If I were to sum up the moral of this story, it'd be, "Life is beautiful, including its hurt." So don't be afraid to get hurt and live a little. Something like that.
I'll have to sit on what I should give it as a review. The animation of the fighting was excellent. If you don't think too heavily about some of inconsistencies of your soul feeling no emotions and taking your pain, dying, and your soul being reborn again and somehow you convincing your own mis-guided soul(s) that to live and feel pain is better than to not live at all, then this anime was pretty good for its animation, music, fighting, plot, and use of colors as metaphors for aspects of life.
