Fergus is an idiot. That much is certain. He can't seem to think beyond dealing with his basic 'needs' or forcing back the opposition. Which at times is all he would need to get by but sometimes...sometimes his nature tends to get him into trouble beyond reason. Give control over your kingdom to a child for a year so you can screw his mother? Turns out he is a better ruler than you. Enjoy a feast while sending out your children to bring in cooperative captives? Been betrayed, your child's dead. Fergus just can't keep his head in the game and eyes on the prize.
Stubborn
Fergus is always right, no exceptions. Anyone who says otherwise obviously doesn't know what they're talking about and shall be ignored hence forth. The only people Fergus is likely to listen to out his kids, or Medb if the woman didn't spend every minutes screaming his name...Point is that with Fergus it's either his way or the high way.
Selective/Protective
Fergus is a very self-centered individual, but that doesn't mean he lacks a place in his heart for close family and lovers. His 'Inner Circle', if you will. And while he's perfectly fine with letting the average stranger be brutally murdered in front of him, Fergus will stop any attempts on his loved ones. And will likely continue his rampage until the 'villian' has been utterly destroyed and no longer a problem. As long as they're safe, the World can burn for all he cares.
Lustful
Fergus was legendary for quite a few things. His looks, his sword and his lust. It's said that it once took Fergus 30 women to finally feel satisfied, and even then he was rarin to go the next day. It was only with the help of Medb that Fergus managed to keep himself in check, even then occasionally desiring other women than the Fairy Queen. Without the women around to take care of his needs, Fergus may find himself thinking less about serving his Master, and more about tasting the fine lady who just happened to walk by...
