This Summer of 2013, i watched a lot of really good anime. For every Season, im going to try to review my favorite Top 5 anime of that season and what i thought about them in my blog.
This is my list of my favorite ones from Summer 2013:
1. Senyuu. 2
This is a "short" anime, each episode less than 5 minutes long. I didn't expect an anime that's so short, can be that perfect and epic. Basically, its anime about the -so called hero- Alba, who never fails to remind us how insignificant he is as a main character. Ross, a knight, is the most sadistic and funniest character of this anime. He's always making fun of Alba and has the best lines ever. Foyfoy and the 'adorable' demon king is also a favorite. This anime tends to make fun of the whole hero in anime and tends to ridicule other anime and does it in a hilarious way too. Despite being short, this anime delivers a enormous amount of comedy and pointless occurrences that when it ends, your like, "What the hell just happened?' or 'That was quick!'
10/10
2. Blood Lad
Staz is my favorte Otaku vampire character so far! Not only he is badass, but he's modest about it too. This anime delivers a lot of comedy, romance, action, epic fights, and some mystery. Although i think 10 episodes is way too short, i really enjoyed this series. My personal favorite is the awesome Wolf-san! Fuyumi on the other hand, i feel she's not really a worthwhile character (something like that), she's there just for Staz to turn her back to human, sort of a goal for himself and she's along for the ride. However, the action and the comedy makes up for it.

3. Danganronpa
Ok, i'm just going to say that this anime reminds me so much of the Hunger Games, except that it's in school setting. A crazy ass bear with freaky eyes locks these students up in this school (for some reason?) and forces them to kill each other and try to get away with it, just to be free. Some go ahead and kill students while others strongly disagree with that. So that damned bear( pun pun pun!) forces them to make the killer move. Full of mysteries, action, and some comedy, a great anime to watch. Also, its based on a video game, too.
9/10
4. Free!
Before anyone criticizes me, let me remind you that I'm a girl (Guys can watch this too, duh!) and second this anime isn't about boy love, cause it DOES have a plot. It is about swimming. The main point of Free! is Haru's and Rin's rivalry in swimming. Haru just wants to swim freestyle by feeling the water and enjoying its feel. While Rin refuses to lose against Haru and is constantly reminding Haru that he'll become a better swimmer than him. This goes back to when they were kids and they used to swim together until Rin decided to go to Australia to get better than Haru at swimming only to find out he didn't. This is a sports anime, i don't watch that many but this easily is one of my favorite sport anime after Little Busters! (LB FTW!) The OP/ED songs and the OP/ED itself is so awesome, its "clean?' i guess you could say. All the watery looks, its really gets you in the swimming atmosphere. As a swimmer myself, i enjoy this anime a lot.
8.5/10.....so far by episode 9
5. Watamote
I literally complain about every episode of this series. Not that i hate it, its just so PAINFUL AND CRINGE-FUL anime! The main character, Tomoki, is so desperate to become popular and does it in such a pathetic, sad way. Her best friend completely changes and becomes popular, while Tomoki who is friend-less is anti-social. Her commentary on the outside world is so funny because it is true. Girls do that and guys fall for that, etc. The opening is freakin badass. It shows Tomoki in chains, representing how she's trying to pull free from her restraints but is unable since she cannot adapt to the world around her due to her social issues. A great anime, because it makes me 'feel' while watching.
8/10
Honorable Mentions:
Genei wo Kakeru Taiyou : Like it, however, it does get boring and i can see repetitive elements from other anime. 7/10
