Hi all! This is my first blog entry, so I'll be telling a little bit about myself. I decided to associate it Wolf's Rain as it was my stepping stone, my first portal into this world. Hope I don't drag....
I started watching anime when I was 8 or 9 years old. Technically my first anime was Pokemon (started watching it in 1999); But I used to think it was a cartoon. I first came across the word "Anime" when I was watching Wolf's Rain on Animax. I still consider it to be my first anime. After that, I fell in love with Anime and I've been watching all sorts of anime ever since.
I didn't know any person in real life who loved anime until my first year in highschool. Heck, other people thought they were cartoons. Then, I found out that one of my childhood friends loved anime as much as I did. When I asked them about it; they thought that everyone else would probably ridicule them for watching "Cartoons" while being in HighSchool. Go Figure.
But after that, I had atleast someone in school who knew the difference between Animes & Cartoons. But people are still ignorant.
Why, just yesterday, I was telling one of my *cough* friends *cough* about an Inuyasha movie. As soon as I said the words "Animated movie" their face scrunched up and they exclaimed "You mean like Toy Story?" Toy Story? Seriously?
I sometimes wonder what they would think about K-On or Bleach or Evangelion. Nothing Good I presume. No matter how much I try to educate them, it always boils down to one thing. For them; Anything Animated = Cartoons = Not for Highchoolers.
Sheesh.
But other than anime, I like Modding stuff, Breaking stuff, Image-Designing, Music, Video Games, having fun, wasting time, etc. etc. I also love Reading books and writing stories myself. I've written tons of stories and Fan-Fictions but never got around to having an account on fanfiction.net. Most of those stories are probably lost by now. Maybe I'll get around to having an account there one day :)
I also draw (not good, but, meh...). Maybe I'll also have a DeviantArt sometime (in the Very distant future. If you have Sig requests or something you can give me a PM. But be warned; I may take a Long time to do it.)
But anyways, that's enough of me. I hope to know about tons of anime while i'm here and also have a good time. I'm on lots of sites (Yahoo, MSN, etc.) except FB & Twitter. So if you want to add me, send me a PM. I'm on lots of sites so just ask which site's ID you want. Cheers!
