Just finished watching Little Busters! episode 6 just now and it was god-awful... compared to the VN. On its own, it might not seem so bad to the average anime fan. But I can't ignore the fact that the VN could have been adapted either much better or it could have been just adapted directly without any changes at all such as the likes of Clannad.
The main problem of the sixth episode was the pacing. Many fans had address the concern that the anime might be rushed or cramped together with its 26 episode length. Well, fans, you were right. Looks like it's gonna get crampy, as distinctly seen in episode 6, with the whole arc just feeling totally unnatural, like a really bad soap opera. And no, the VN itself wasn't that bad, despite the seemingly cheesy idealism. Go read it yourself. You'll know what I'm talking about. And if you still don't, go read it again.
Aside from that, I just spent about half an hour searching for videos related to the two Madoka Magica movies with no fruitful results. After which, I realized I gained that crave for Madoka-ish anime again, series that could drive out my deepest emotions and make me bawl like a girl. No anime has made me feel as much despair as Madoka, I could easily say that. Even Shiki was light-hearted compared to this. I honestly had to go look for brain-bleach to make myself feel better after episode 9,
Gawd, that felt awful enough without episode 10 coming along. Sigh.
So please, if anyone out there happen to read this (yeah right, who reads these posts anyway?), kinda recommend me something similar to Madoka - preferably something even more epic than Madoka. Because as of now, Madoka is the best anime of the decade for me. Oh yeah.[/endfanboymode]
