I've recently picked up an interesting and fun series called
Toriko. The concepts of this manga seems new and a bit different from the variety of the "Typical Shounen" characteristics from plot wise, character development, but there is one flaw in that which may be burden for the future chapters I'll be reading which is currently the awkward power up of the "Gourmet Cells" which most skilled Bishokuya currently have residing in their bodies as a fighting force. Anyways, I'm impressed by the concepts the mangaka established and can even expand the fun world of Toriko of the dangerous "Gourmet World" The Four Heavenly Kings aren't ready for it yet. Also Toriko's companion, Komatsu is completely useless for fighting ,but the mangaka still made him into a great character as a "normal human" in this manga, but his abilities as a normal human shine when he's cooking as chef and preparing the meals for the great food Toriko captured.
Toriko is diverse and I like that especially with from the Shounen Jump. As I currently keep reading, it'll become even more of a "fun" concept when they're out of the Human World and are powerful enough to explore the Gourmet World.
I'd also advise that you read the manga from scratch rather then watching the anime.
