Alrighty, besides working my ass off at work I've been watching some new shows and catching up on some others. I'll go in alphabetical order of what I've been watching since I last updated my blog.
Ao no Exorcist:
I like this show so far. It's quirky and funny, but has it's fair share of action and drama. Sometimes there's a little too much fanservice for my liking, but that's just my opinion. Personally I'd rather have everything as nicely animated as some of the female character's breasts. At least the fight scenes are pretty nicely done. Other than that it has a plot that's pretty easy to follow and get into, and in my opinion there's a character out there for every type of fan in this show.
Cardcaptor Sakura:
I actually just started this show yesterday. I'm enjoying it so far. It seems like a very typical magical girl anime. Girl with latent magical powers, a cute animal sidekick, saving the world from evil type deal. It's nothing like Madoka Magica, so take note of that. I don't usually watch shows like this, but it's working for me. Something about the art style is very comforting, as it's pretty and reminds me of Sailor Moon quite a bit for some reason. There's 70 episodes so we'll see how far I get.
Cowboy Bebop:
I just love this show okay. It's a must watch. I personally like the dub, but do what you want. I won't push it either way. Just know that you need to see it if you haven't yet.
Deadman Wonderland:
Kinda gory, but hey I like it. What I don't like is how freaking dark a couple of the episodes were. Even watching it on FUNimation's youtube page didn't fix the darkness issue. I get that the setting was in a dark place, but I got the feeling that it was just a quality problem. Other than that little hiccup it's been pretty good so far. I'm excited to see how it turns out.
Karneval:
Okay I know it just recently ended, but I haven't gotten around to finishing it up yet. Maybe I'll do that today.. I dunno. Either way I'm interested in seeing how it ends. Hopefully none of my favorite characters die.
