It's episode's 21 finally and we are at the final sprint of the show! Well at least the first season. It feels like the show is begging to tie everything together rather quickly now, and If I have any time to try to guess what happens, the moment is now.

BREAK DOWN
Shion just tragically fell of the side edifice of the hospital. She cunningly tried to fight off police detection by masquerading as her sister and playing poor Keiichi with the curse. The show revealed the deaths of Satoko and Rika, which was previously thought to be the curse.
Satoko was the strange case. At first it seems that Shion has it all figured out. The Three families have an unheard of amount of power and can get away with murder by using the excuse of the curse. The Sonozaki deeply hates the Houjou family for the support of the Dam. So it's common sense that Satoshi receives a hit right?
The thing is that Satoko has been saved, even though she is also from the Houjou family. Not to mention that she's best friends with Rika, supposedly some oracle that can communicate with the village diety.

CONCLUSION
Shion is partially right about what's happening and Satoko has probably been spared so far in the story line because she is the youngest of the Houjou family. I imagine even though the Families are very influential and powerful, (As explained on how the "Old Hag" has the ability to mask a murder), they still have a limit of what they can slide under the radar, such as a mass murder of one's family.
Or Shion discovered that all of this is just the "Cover". How it is suppose to appear for detectives and anyone who dares meddle with their real affairs. Everything explained so far still has it's gaps, as in how no one really understands the chain of murders previous to the 5th year and that the vanishes previous is also a mystery.
Rika's influence may have saved Satoko but thinking about this now, isn't it obvious that in a dark story the true culprits are those completely over looked.
The young ones.
The innocent.
The clearly incapable.
The cuteness and innocence of young Rika along with the brave soldier of abuse, Satoko, juxtapose the mental insanity taste of what we have been fed so far. I feel that the next few episodes will revolve around these two.
THE TRAIN TO THE FINAL EPISODE HAS DEPARTED. VERACITY OF THE STORY EXPECTED!!!
