Finally. A show this season has had plot development. Background information was disclosed and my God, what a revelation. Of all my theories, this was not on the list, maybe that is my own failure but I was sincerely shocked.
The episode began with me wondering who these new characters were, but they turned out to be irrelevant to anything and will probably not be in later episodes. I am still having issues with the entire leaving the main fleet to go treasure hunting, but I suppose the writers needed to diverge from the Full Metal Panic similarities of a different life and make crap happen. Man did they happen.
The revelation surrounding the mystery of the Hideauze comes as quite a shocker, but I have already stated that and so I will move on to my griped behind the reveal.
I don't think that there would be tapes with that much information on them. I know the writers wanted to have a big reveal, but in the very least the clip of the Evolvers stating that they will become eternal would not have been able to be recorded by humans, at least not in video format. This could have been presented in different ways, but this was the most direct and efficient I suppose. I truly thought that Chamber was going to turn on Ledo at one point, as I had predicted he would at the start of the show. Oh well, I like the way events played out.
Maybe now the show will continue to move forward and we won't have entire episodes set aside to show Ledo's transition into Earth life.
