I have one not so small problem with it that really bothered me. There were a number of times when it felt like main boy came to the right conclusion too easily. It just comes across as bad writing to me. I mean, I get that he's smart, observant, and all, but it just felt like it was too much at times. It made me feel like it was not him concluding that from his observations, but rather from nowhere, because the script said so. And to add to my problem with the writing, the characterization of the characters also felt awkward for me. I get their "characters", but in a lot of scenes it felt fake. Or maybe it was just that the acting of the seiyuus were bad? I doubt it.
All in all, I still enjoyed the episode though. I feel like I will like it less and less as more episodes come out. I hope I'm wrong.

It was interesting. It was slow-paced (this is almost never a bad thing, though many might disagree with me). It wasn't flashy. It wasn't dramatic. It didn't care to make its 1st episode more attention grabbing, but I don't care because it was good. And watching P.A. Works works will never be boring because of the eyecandy backgrounds

Hmm.. It's nice to look at even if you remove the tasteless fanservice. lol really. I kinda like watching it since the girls really have personalities. And I like the character designs. And Nakahara Mai voices a character. So... I guess I'll continue watching it? I dropped Amagami-SS halfway though even though they're similar. I got tired of the unsatisfactory drama. Haruka best girl.

The execution was great in my opinion (the feels in just the 1st episode). There's a problem though. I still feel that the whole setup is silly. After a few episodes, AKB0048 worked for me, so maybe I just need to watch a few more episodes. I don't want to blame the production team since I really think the episode was very good. Maybe it's just a matter of personal taste.
