Season slowly coming to a close, new season already on the horizon! Fortunately, this time around there's not a whole lot I'm looking forward to. Nyaruko-san continuation (woot), OreImo continuation (meh), Railgun continuation (woot) and that's pretty much it.. maybe check out a few ones in good hopes, such as the Lucky Star spinoff thing (Miyakawa-ke), Hentai-ouji cuz it's from J.C. Staff, Aiura cuz it looks like a funky slice of life show, Photo Kano in hopes there'll be a good romance show again, and maybe whatever gets hyped on various blogs. New Hayate can fuck off after whatever it was they produced last season. So yeah I think I can look forward to finishing what I'm currently watching in a relaxed manner, and maybe FINALLY check out the ones I've had stalled (such as Les Miserables, Accel World, AKB0048, etc.). Good times. As for this week.. Tamako Market ep10-11: Ep10 gave Midori (baton club girl) her episode, I think she was the only one who didn't get a feature yet, so that's fair! Can't really say she's my favourite character or anywhere close, but as a side effect carpenter girl Kanna got a lot of screentime too, as well as badminton girl Shiori. Also I dig stories about friendship like that. Fav scene: Midori confessing while in tears and saying "betsuni.. nande mo nai shi, naite nai shi..". Ep11 had Tamako take the spotlight again, finally taking a stand towards the whole princess thing. I like. Still 10/10 all in all!
GJ-bu ep10-11: GJ-bu has totally levelled up to the #3 show this season. The sketchbook part of ep10 was brilliant(-ly funny). One complaint through: No maid twirling or hair brushing on two whole episodes. But at least we got a scene of Kyoloko, and the imouto-brigade :D Also.. nyaa~.
Kotoura-san ep10-11: While GJ-bu has levelled up, Kotoura-san levelled way, way down. What started as very cute, nice to watch with a promising source of many lulz turned out to be a half-assed story about a crappy club. Douchebag-mom nowhere to be seen anymore, but instead, with episodes 10 and 11 Kotoura san turned into some kind of detective club, hunting an evildoer that is (not kidding) beating up people to release some stress. Only to be cured from all the evildoing not by some elaborate mind reading scheme, but by (approximately) 8 seconds of "yoshi yoshi, everything will be fine, now go turn yourself in" More complaints: There wasn't even any suspense with the "What are u doing kids? It's dangerous, Stahp. Oh and ABSOLUTELY DON'T GO TO PLACE X, IT R DANGEROUS" that gave everything away. Highlight of these two eps: The "bai bai~" voice acting when the inspector is about to lay waste on Kotouras face. 5/10, at most, depending on last episode.
Minami-ke Tadaima ep8-9: So much Housaka in these two episodes. Brilliant. The whole vegetable thing may have been a tick too long, but whatever, we got a Housaka & Chiaki duet song. Episode 9, while still relatively awesome somehow didn't pull me in as much during the second part. It (finally) had some Keiko again though so all is good. This seriously is the TRUE second season of Minami-ke :D
