Sometimes in life, everything turns out better than expected. While I'm lol'ing at myself for even typing that.. it turned out to be true for the last week in anime: Monday through Saturday stats: 1 episode watched, 2 screenshots taken. Monday through Sunday: 6 episodes watched (incl 2x Tomodachi ga Sukunai!), 33 screenshots taken. I even went through the bunch of images trying to delete some of them, because 33 for just 6 total episodes seemed a bit much - but every single one screamed at me "NOPE". So yeah, many screenshots, handle it. I'll even try to put the screenshots to their according text this time! (Random next week again though! I think) Tamako Market ep6: First mentionable thing about this episode.. I noticed yet again the AWESOME voice work of Suzaki Aya (Tamako). According to the MAL DB, it's literally only her second role in any anime, but she's so good: "Taaa-maaa-chan~", "Haa-aaa-iiii~?". Also, after the An-chan-less episode 5, at least she got a bit of screentime again in this episode. Awesome and awesomely cute show all around, after the (imo) mediocre Chuunibyou from KyoAni. I still wonder though how this show would've turned out if Wakamoto Norio had voiced the bird :D
Ai Mai Mi ep7: Yes, I even took quite a few screenshots of the 3min long show. I can't help it, it's just that awesome(-ly lulzy). PLUS there was a cat (or something somewhat resembling a cat, at least!) in this episode! Probably the best short anime since season one of Chii's Sweet Home. PS My exact notes that I took immediately after I watched this: "lololololol". Yep, describes this well I think.
Vividred ep6: First episode in Vividred with no new character introduction? :D Also first time I don't mistype Vividred for Vivired. ALSO the first episode with no funky crotch shot from behind? Seems like they mixed it up with butts and boobs this week. Not complaining here. Other than that, this episode is what you get when an anime based around "fanservice" puts out a beach-episode for the sake of fanservice. PS: Props to Commie fansub group for some freely translated (yet very well fitting) lines such as "Friendship is Magic" and "Who the hell do you think I am?", during the appropriate scenes. All in all a good episode, most memorable being the recurring button pushing, Gurren Lagann glasses, Akaris uh.. hairstyle.. in the mizugi tent and the girls' reactions to it. Oh and the butts and boobs I guess.
GJ-bu ep6: Aw yeah, GJ-bu goes from zero to hero with this one episode. I can't point my finger on the exact reason why.. but this episode was so much better than all the previous ones (with maybe the exception of ep1, or maybe I was still in Seitokai no Ichizon mode then). Anyway, there wasn't much to dislike about the whole thing.. the thick line Acchi Kocchi style art mixed with chibi stuff. Many imoutos being introduced as characters (hope they stay!). And other than the eyecandy, lulz were also provided a-plenty. "DID YOU BRUSH HER HAIR?", "uh, err, uhm, yeh", "I see. Ok. Brush!". I'm totally okay with the hair brushing thing becoming a recurring theme. It's lulz and yet very cute. Awesome. Even more awesome: We might finally see Megumi letting her hair down in episode 7, cuz it was briefly visible in the preview. A man can hope. PS: "eeeeeh? eeeh? eeeeeh? eeh?" eeeeeeh?"
Tomodachi Sukunai Next ep5-6: Going by the last few weeks, it would be appropriate to say "The best comes last". But there was just so much general awesomeness in this weeks' bunch of episodes that Sena and co got a run for their moneys. Add to that the fact ep5 wasn't as awesome as all the other episodes (incl 6), and I guess one could say that everything this week was equally awesome. Starting with the distinct lack of loli in episode 5, coupled with the fact that there was some actual story in it (Yozora and Kodakas past), somehow took away some of the excellent eyecandy and lulz. Nonetheless, just like I just had to praise Suzaki Aya's voice work in Tamako Market, I really enjoy what Fukuen Misato (Rika) delivers in this show (especially, but not exclusively, when she's arguing.. or trying to seduce Kodaka.. or anything really :D). The theme of eroge was kinda awesome, as was the maidcafe theme, but with the characters being this awesome.. it's generally just a means for the characters' personalities to deliver lulz by themselves I guess. Although the maid thing made me take a truckload of Sena screenshots again :D Twintails woohooo.
