Name//
The Headless Horseman
Rank//
Boss, Anti-Servant
Appearance//
Information//
A Headless rider astride a black mare, he is summoned forth by the Grails ever-increasing corruption. One of the stronger and more terrifying Grail Beasts, it is unwise to engage this monster in open combat. It's history is unknown, but it is noted for taking on the appearance of various similar creatures of myth and may be the inspiration from them all. It is rumored to have been spawned by the Grail from a Magus's worst nightmare.
It is a unique monster, as it is the only one of it's kind that has been reported so far. Reports claim that this Headless Rider seems to be attracted to high levels of Prana, and as such seeks both Magi and Servants as it's pray. It has never attacked and killed a normal person.
A Lover of Duels, The Headless Horseman cannot resist one-on-one duels, and will honor such challenges. Any who prove cowardly will be pursued relentlessly.
It should be noted that the Headless Horseman has only ever been seen roaming after the 'Witching Hour' and it usually disappears upon the first peeking of the sun. A smart Magus would be wise to express caution with late night excursions.
A rolling mist accompanies this dark champion, and those foolish enough to face it will have to answer to both it's sword and axe.
