Anime teachers...

I am watching Aoi Hana now. I like it a lot, I'm glad I was recommended to watch it! I have never tried to watch any yuri before because I have been told that there isn't really anything that's worth watching... but this is good! It seems realistic and all... and I like the style. We have actual lesbians here, not just "showing off" or subtext... (I mean, I just don't know what to think of Millay and Nina in Code Geass.) I almost cried with Fumi because of the cousin... I watched episode four just now, and I was wondering, what's with that teacher?! But now I see... Well, Yasuko is not the only one who has had a teacher crush before! Now that we're talking about teachers, one word about Piano that I recently watched. I watched it because I wanted something soft, light and short; something simple and relaxing as a break from all the killing in Code Geass (which I love, btw, it's not about that). And I chose it because Akio Otsuka is in it... (Yes, that's how far I - sometimes - take my fangirling...) Anyway, now that I've watched it, I can say that it was pretty predictable and not really very interesting, but because I was sort of prepared for it (or easy to satisfy because I'm still fairly new to anime in general *lol*) I watched all of it. Like I said, it was simple and relaxing. But Miu's piano teacher was kind of strange, wasn't he! Now that I think about it, I know that I would have wanted a different story - his story. Why did he always look so sad and/or grumpy? Who/what made him like that? Where did he go, and why? When and where did he first meet Miu's sister? It was pretty clear to me that he was frustrated because of Miu; she's talented but her heart wasn't in it... and she just never understood what he wanted from her, what he meant with all his questions! (And it seems like many students respected him to the point of being afraid of him; Miu was a little, but it seems like he never actually acted in a "scary" way with her or made her cry. Seems like she never reflected on that, more than that he made her nervous because she knew how he affected other students!) But she got it in the end. And he went away like some Mary Poppins who goes with the wind... (Okay, so not the best analogy ever...) Well. I didn't get to know anything at all about him, but now I feel like he was the most interesting of all the characters. Miu's dad wasn't very interesting at all. But I still liked it when he talked. ;)
