Man, it’s been a week already! It feels like it’s been forever. Anyway, this is the second ZettaiBlog. Now, I should mention that I happen to really like mecha series, so every now and then I’d like to a girl from those series, as to showcase lesser known wonders. Today we have a very, very old girl.![]()

My fourth wall! And January gets so cold! Alas, while I get my wall fixed, let me talk about:
Head
Hair
Elchi’s hair is light green and a bit wavy. She reminds me of Rydia from FF4, which is nice. This is further exacerbated by the cute red hairpin. There is a bit of a minus tho, and that's her hair during her “evil” period. She has a rather ridiculous hairdo where she wears a headband and puts her hair up, giving her what I call an “evil aerobics teacher” look. Seriously, check here to see how dumb it looks. Worse, she does spend a fair bit of the show like this. A bit of a shame, really.
Grade: B-
Eyes
Blue eyes, for a change. I’m not sure if I made clear anime overuses blue eyes, but just so you know: anime overuses blue eyes. That said, they do fit Elchi’s green hair and usual blue clothes, so this is a bit better than usual. Furthermore, I personally like how unique Xabungle eyes look, as it was one of the things that interested me from the show.

Build
Old show is old, so unfortunately Elchi doesn’t have official measurements that I can use. That said, she does fit into my tastes quite nicely. She’s not tall and has a rather slender body, both easy victories for me. Her breasts are also on the small side, as we actually get to see them. That’s how old anime rolls. Her legs are nothing special, but not horrible either. Overall she has a nice figure for my tastes, but not the absolute best.

While sadly not shown for most of the show, Elchi does have a few buttshots here and there, included bare ones. Her ass is alright as well, not big but not flat either! But alas, seems Rag was the butt character.

Clothes
Unfortunately, Elchi does not perform well here. At first she wears the yellow Breaker suit we can see in her picture, though later she switches a blue variant with a miniskirt, which then becomes her main costume. The skirt makes it kind of cute, but otherwise it’s nothing special. When she’s taken by the Innocents she’s first given what looks like a cocktail dress, while not bad she only wears it for a short while. For last, there are the clothes she wears during said “evil” period, which scream “Evil aerobics teacher” as much as her hair. While none on her clothes are BAD, none of them are particularly appealing to me, so she can only score that much.

Personality
Elchi is a rather stubborn and tomboyish girl who desires to embrace the civilized culture and arts from the Innocent. While she can be a bit rough at times, she’s a nice girl at the end, with some kind moments like when, as a kid, she bought Fatman so he didn’t have to be a slave anymore. She could be said to be a prototype of the modern ojous, given her relatively well-off status and her appreciation for refinement.
While she can pilot a Walker Machine and does so occasionally, Elchi is more recognizable as the captain of the Iron Gear, the first anime warship that turned into a huge robot. Yes, it beat Macross by half a year. Aside from this she’s pretty skilled at throwing knives.
Grade: B-
Libido
She soon develops love feelings for Jiron, the main character, and considers Rag her romantic rival. While she’s a bit tsundere at times, she does it in an acceptable and likable way. Otherwise there’s not much to mention here. Oh, she sleeps naked except for panties, that’s gotta count!

Poking around I found out Elchi is 16, as she says up in the introductory blurb. We also get to see her as a 10-year old in a flashback. Not a bad age, but if only she was in the middle point!

Voice
Mari Yokoo does fine as her, but her voice is simply not the kind of cute voice I enjoy. I don’t blame her for it since at the time that wasn’t the standard for female characters, but still.
Grade: C
