So I just got through the first two episodes of Vividred Operation a minute ago, and I can tell you already that this will be a depthless series. Probably plotless too, but I still have hopes. Seriously though, all this is so far is the cast of Puella Magi Madoka Magica starring in a Neon Genesis Evangelion/Sailor Moon crossover, and I can't see it becoming much more than that.
But, somehow, even with this lacklustre mashup of an anime, it's got me looking forward to the next episode, and I actually kind of enjoy it. I suspect that's entirely due to the idealistically boyish views pretty much every male like myself has, though; cute/attractive lesbians fighting giant robots with big weapons works for me any day. As for the art and animation, they're both high quality, but I guess that's how it should be for an anime like this. Vividred Operation is an unintelligent anime, but I think I like it.
