Konnichi wa, minna-san!
Watashi wa Smashking desu. Doozo yoroshiku.
Hopefully you guys have watched enough anime to know what that means :P Anyway, I enjoy doing blogs so expect to see me update this blog every once in a while.
I'm a relative noob when it comes to anime since I only really started watching it this year. One reason is because I've always been interested in it but I could never watch it. My parents were concerned about the portrayal of girls and women in anime and with the violence. So I wasn't allowed to watch it growing up unless it was approved by my parents so I never really bothered. Another reason is because I'm taking Japanese in university and watching anime helps me with my pronounciation. Of course, I will try and watch anime in Japanese if I can. Even if it wasn't for school I would still watch it in Japanese since it's the original version.
I have a rather daunting task ahead of me. I have to catch up on all of these animes and not nearly enough time to do it. Being in university now and just starting to get into anime is tough. I'm a part of an anime club in school and I'm watching the ones they have up which is currently Tsuritama and Oban Star-Racers.
Tsuritama, from what I've seen so far, is REALLY wierd. I don't have much of a clue what's going on. Oban Star-Racers is pretty good. First foreign (outside of Japan) anime I've seen or even heard of. The animation style is pretty good though. I enjoy the races in the series. Story is fairly interesting. This is also the first anime I've seen that actually has a girl wearing long pants. All anime, as far as I know, always has girls wearing either skirts or short shorts.
Anyway that's it for now. I'm sure i'll be back at random points to update the blog.
Jaa, mato ato de!
