Since not everything has aired a second episode yet, not everything has a fixed spot yet. That'll change by this time next week, assuming Sei*zon 2 airs at something approaching a regular pace. There are four distinct tiers of shows so far. 1. Medaka Box II - This was a very pleasant start; sad it is only going to the end of the Miyakanojou arc. Not as stripperiffic as I expected, but that will probably change. 2. Little Busters - A very silly start that is only going to get sillier once that Kud thing shows up. She makes Komari pretty redundant. Natsume might have the worst voice in the business, even worse than Rie Kugimiya or Yuka Iguchi. Any scene where WEAPONS come into play is an instant winner. I'm hoping we get some Saya cameos just because blondes are always the way to go. 3. Sword Art Online - Has been struggling of late; I don't particularly care about Asuna or any of the other girls, I just want to watch Kirito be superman. 4. Chuunibyou / Adventures of Rikka and her Facepudge - This show has been surprisingly fun as there's been less drama of any kind than I expected. Nothing has been taken seriously to this point and I hope that it stays that way. 5. Seitokai no Ichizon lv. 2 - The memories of Sugisaki Ken are imposing indeed. His quest to join the student council was spurred on by some dreadful girl, apparently, and not a goal of making the council his harem - which came secondarily. There were a few bright spots, but it seemed like this was more of an introductory episode, and the student council girls will feature more in the coming weeks. Was a lot more pleased with this than I was the Hayate reboot. 6. Hidamaris 4: Die Wider: As wide as ever, now with more bathing. Can we have less bathing? This series has oddly grown on me over time - not because of the bathing. -------------------------- 7. Toriko - The trek to Death Falls involves a 10-mile long snake and dinosaurs being crushed by the sheer weight of a waterfall. It's seriously got to take quite the mind to come up with this stuff. 8. Magi - It's weird how all the concept art has Sinbad and Judal in it when those guys don't show up for a long time. I like the manga a lot, but I have no idea how well one can adapt a primarily adventure series to this medium. 9. Robotics;Notes - We're going to build a mech because well, why not? Always a good reason to build a mech. 5pb really needs to learn how to use semicolons. 10. Psychopass: Here's a show that's going to pass/fail almost entirely depending on how interesting its antagonists are. Adding ludicrous gibs has never hurt a show. -------------------------------- 11. Rock Lee - Has been very meh of late. The most recent skit with the girls trying to lose weight (and then gaining it back immediately) was pretty funny, if only because Hinata suffering is always hilarious and adorable. That poor thing. Less Nejikos and Gaarakos will always be welcome. 12. Hayate III: What is the point of these Ruca skits? She's really not that interesting, and she's not adding anything to the show. Fumi's not really adding anything to the show either, but at least she's retarded. This has pretty much been the worst case scenario for this show so far - and the character designs are even worse. 13. Code:Breaker - I'm not really sure what this show intends to accomplish in a mere 13 episodes, though I may pick up the manga at some point. It seems to have progressed rather far, and I'm always looking for more stuff to read. -------------------------------- 14. Shinsekai Yori: Listed at 25 episodes, which is encouraging, because it hasn't made a lick of sense so far between its two settings, one a seeming revolution and the other a bunch of really, really dull schoolkids with psychic powers. 15. Btoom!: The premise is alright, and I can always count on Madhouse for ludicrous gibs, but I don't particularly feel like rooting for any of these characters. Can certainly change my mind in the next week or two. Another thing to note is that 15 shows is a new personal record.
